Cobbydale

Cobbydale is the colloquial name for Silsden. Silsden is situated at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.

Once a small village, it is now a relatively large town with many amenities. The Cobbydale Singers are the only ladies singing group in Silsden, however they often sing in the villages and towns around Silsden such as Crosshills, Steeton, Skipton, Ilkley and Keighley.

Although most of their concerts are local they have sung at venues further afield.

In 1996 and 1997, they sang at the Lowther Gardens Pavilion in Lytham as guests of The Freckleton Brass Band.

In 2002 they travelled to Pforzheim in Germany. They were invited as guests of the Blumenheck Mixed Voice Choir. Over a five day visit they gave performances in four different venues, including a concert at a festival in the Black Forest.

In 2005 the Cobbydale Singers were invited to the Isle of Man where they were the guests of the Ramsey Ladies Cushag Choir. They joined the Ramsey ladies, giving concerts in Douglas and Ramsey.
