The Cobbydale Singers were formed in 1994 by Elaine Isherwood and Christine Barrett. Both ladies are old school friends who have been involved with choral singing since they met at the age of 11. They formed The Cobbydale Singers to entertain a disabled group in their home town of Silsden, West Yorkshire. From that engagement, more interest was shown in the ensemble and The Cobbydale Singers were formed. Their popularity has grown over the last few years and now they regularly perform in the Airedale and Craven area.

The Cobbydale Singers many concerts include charity performances, church concerts, weddings, and other celebratory events. The group sing a varied programme with an extensive repertoire including secular and sacred music, but are keen to sing songs that their audiences enjoy.
